Oral presentations

Oral presentations are scheduled in 15-minute time slots. We strongly encourage a presentation of no more than 12 minutes to allow three minutes for questions from the audience. Session chairs will strictly implement the time limit to facilitate movement between concurrent sessions.

On-site submission of oral presentations

The final oral presentation schedule will be available on our website and at the registration desk. Please check in which room you are assigned, since all presenters are required to bring final version of presentation on a USB flash drive or external hard drive, preferably 24 hours in advance and to upload presentation on computers. Please name your file as follows: “Lastname.ppt”. You will be able to upload your file daily during the registration hours including Sunday 30/6. This is the single most important action you will take to ensure your presentation is a success. During the on-site submission, SEFS11 technical staff will be available to assist you. After you upload your presentation, please check it to make sure that all fonts, images, and animations appear as expected and that all audio or video clips are working properly.

Each meeting room will have a projector, screen, laptop computer, microphone, and a laser pointer. Personal laptops cannot be used for presentations in the session rooms. The presentation computers use PowerPoint with Windows operating system.

Acceptable formats for presentations are PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) and PDF - both formats (16:9 and 4:3) are supported; 4:3 is preferred.

Poster presentations

Posters must be in portrait orientation no larger than A0 (90 × 120 cm) format. If your poster exceeds these specifications, it may be subject to removal. Each poster will be assigned a number that will lead to a poster panel. The exact location and poster numbers will be available on our website and at the registration desk. Poster mounting tools (e.g. adhesive tapes, glue pads, pins) will be provided on the site at the poster stands.

All posters will be exhibited on the 17th floor in rooms Panorama and Opera. Mounting will be available as follows:

Panorama: Monday, 1 July, from 15.00 to 16.55,

Opera: Monday, 1 July, from 17.10 to 19.15.

Also on Tuesday in both rooms from 16.50 to 17.05.

First poster session is scheduled on Tuesday at 17.15.

Posters should remain until poster sessions are officially over.
